Podcasting Bandwagon.
Jul 15th, 2005 by Kate

Been a long time ya’ll. I’m always going and never stopping. So, a few weeks ago (June 28, really) Apple released iTunes 4.9 with Podcasting capabilities meaning that the user is now able to browse and subscribe to podcasts from within the iTunes Music Store. Podcasting, hmm. Sounds like something out of Episode I. You know, like podracing.
Podcasts are frequently updated radio-style shows downloadable over the Internet.
It took me a good seven months to jump on the RSS Feed bandwagon (what is RSS?) after initially learning about them from Tim, so I’m trying to get a head start on this whole Podcasting thing. I’m only a month behind the release, but six months ahead of schedule for tinkering with them. Before I started writing this I vaguely knew what podcasting was, but after exhausting my resources (teh internets!) I have finally come to some sort of understanding as to what it is. I’m still not sure I’m into this whole thing; I have yet to see the benefit. I’m not a big fan of talk radio or lectures. I am sure there will be a couple of podcasts that will have a profound impact on the world at large, but as much as I hate reading lots of stuff, I learn better when I do. I won’t knock it until I try it, as the saying goes, but until I get around to it, the world of podcasting will just have to keep on keepin’ on without me.

And now for something completely different: an article on Why Americans love Labrador retrievers. I know I love them! As soon as I get back from DC, I’m getting one!! Oh happy day.
One of these days, Tim is going to make a post about my awesomely bad office art, so stay tuned for that! It’s killer. A preview from a dream I had about a tornado and my dad and brother playing golf.
haha your dad said “right-o” (I’m assuming the smaller one in the hat is David)
