Acceptance Concert.

Back in January when I started reading The Big Noob, they were working on the album art and webpage for the band Acceptance so when the band’s latest cd was released, I took their advice and looked into it, and I’m glad I did. Acceptance is my Rocket Summer: I love Acceptance and I got Jessica into it just like she loves TRS and got me into it. The story of how I got jessica into Acceptance is a good one. And Jessica is totally my concert buddy especially when David can’t make it.
Doors opened at 6:30 and the first band went on at 7:15 but we were still eating dinner at that time. We finally left Denton around 8 and got to Lewisville only to sit in traffic. So of course I pulled out my “queen of the back roads” card and got us there a different way. And I parallel parked the truck like a pro. I’ve got some mad skillz. (Whatever.)
We got to the concert just in time to see the band right before Acceptance play 2 songs. Unfortunately we did not arrive in time to see Cartel. But Acceptance was everything I hoped. The lead singer has some weird mannerisms when he performs but every one is different. They did a great cover of one of my favorite Beatles Songs, “Elanor Rigby” and the over all concert was a great time. I’m glad I went. I’m such a concert whore, but in a good way. For the most part they played the songs off their new album with a few old ones that I happened to know. They had a little Linkin’ Park sound thing going on too that I totally dig.
It was a great “last hoorah” with my roommate.
