Another week in the life of me.

Doug was bitching yesterday about my lack of blogging about life so I thought I’d take a couple minutes and type out what has happened since my last life update last Friday. I’m busy y’all!
I had plans to do brunch and shopping with mom on Saturday, but I got an email from her on Friday afternoon telling me that she wasn’t going to make it because she was sick. So I decided to bring brunch and shopping to her. No one would answer their phone when I tried to call and tell them I was coming home, so I basically scared the crap out of the whole family when I walked in the back door. They’d also been watching Jason on TV, so it was even scarier for them.
I got up early (8am!) on Saturday and made breakfast for the family. We had blueberry crumble and mimosas. Kate was happy. Mom and I did a bit of shopping, I spent more money than I should’ve but I’ll get over it. I got some great deals. Late Saturday night I drove back to Denton and hung out with Heidi at her place of work. Then I went to a party at the Panhandle house and had a little too much to drink. Matt rescued me and we spent most of Sunday together relaxing and being lazy. It was a great day. We had dinner at IHOP, then I went home and back to sleep. Haha, so lazy.
Monday started out terribly- when I went outside to get in the car to go to work, I discovered that I had a flat tire. Ugh. Great. I took care of that only to sit in traffic for an hour or so just to get to work late. I got a text from Matt as I was getting on the elevator to come upstairs. It made the day do-able.
On Tuesday we did Apollo lunch at the Press Box across the street. I felt like I was going to puke or pass out, but once I got some food in my stomach I wasn’t so awful. That evening I drove to Denton for a NTDC Alumni reception. The new president of UNT was the guest of honor so we all got to shake hands and have some face time with her. After the reception I spent some quality time with Heidi. I kidnapped her and took her to Art 6 for butter beer. We both had pretty empty stomachs so all that sugar made for a good time. A bit later Matt called and the three of us ended up meeting at Taco C. for some yummy food. “Sucka-pants!”
I took myself on a date Wednesday night. After work I drove up to North Park mall and saw Marie Antoinette. I posted my review about it. It was pretty, but a bad movie.
Yesterday I had a 3+ hour phone call with my boss and a client. We thought we had figured out the direction we were going in with their site re-design but then the Director of Marketing stepped in and threw us a curve ball. So we’re back to the drawing board. And of course, I went to Denton last night to see the gang. I love those guys.
I’m pretty sure I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. I’m pretty cranky and just don’t care. When I was attempting to close my windows this morning because it was cooooold, the blinds in the living room decided to fall on my head so I’ve got a pretty big bump there. I almost put my hair in a messy bun thing and wore a big comfy sweatshirt to work, but I managed to find something else half respectable to wear and mostly did my hair. Hopefully this day will get better. Traffic on the way in wasn’t too bad.
If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it…
