My New Toy.

The Nokia 2865i.
I finally broke down, went to Sherman and bought a new phone last weekend. The battery on my old phone lasted for about 4 hours, and that was on standby, and I missed a couple of important calls and didn’t get the voicemails until it was too late. I pretty much had to considering its my main line of contact and I’m currently using my phone quite a lot.
I decided to go with something a bit different this time. We’re not up for renewal or any sort of special with our service provider until May and there is no way I could wait that long, so I had to pay full price for the damn thing. For the first time since my first year of college I have a Nokia brick phone, the Nokia 2865i. And I like it.
It’s got bluetooth and a built-in FM radio, and it’s about the same size as my old phone when it was closed. My last phone had bluetooth, but I could never get it to work with my computer. I’ve uploaded cool ringtones and pictures to my phone. I haven’t used the radio yet, you have to have a special headset, and I don’t really care that much. However, this phone doesn’t have a camera. I didn’t use the one on my old phone that often, but now that I don’t have it, I miss it. There have been a few moments since I switched phones just a few days ago that I wish I had a camera phone. For example, there is a store next to the Movie Tavern in Denton called “Ur Mom.” How awesome is that?!
One of the features of my Motorola phone that I really hated, but now I miss the most is that if you program a specific ringtone for someone, it also plays that tune when you get a text message from that person. My new phone just beeps once and vibrates so I have to find my phone to see who sent me the text message. I’ve also got a lot of fun pictures and sentimental text messages on that phone that I can’t transfer over.
