My Latest Project.

Sorry I’ve sort of fallen off the face of the earth lately. Since I haven’t been working, I have had no time management skills and no desire to sit in front of my computer at all.
Mom called me a few weeks ago and told me that she wanted a Spring Time wreath to hang on the front door but didn’t have the time to look through the catalogs and online to find one, so she thought she’d ask me. I’d never made a wreath before but it sounded like a fun challenge. She gave me a budget and a theme to work with. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought a base wreath and some fake flowers to see what I could put together. I managed to not burn myself too badly with the hot glue gun and the picture below is the end result.
After taking a look at it and thinking about the front door at my parent’s house, I think it may be too big. Plus I really like it. It’s been hanging on the wall in my dining room and I’m not sure if it’ll ever make it to the parent’s house. I’m going to head back to Hobby Lobby and buy a smaller base wreath to make the next size down and then take both with me when I go up there and leave mom with the wreath that looks best in proportion to the door.
Sometimes I amaze myself.
