Recaps: Sat, Part VI – The Wait.

After we had taken as many formal pictures as we could squeeze into a short amount of time, it was time for us to retreat to our hiding spots and wait for our guests to arrive. The ladies retreated to the back of the church, up the stairs and to the bride’s room. My favorite aunt had to fix something on the back of my dress so I knelt on the ground to make it easier to get to the back of my dress.

The guys got to hang out in the church cafe, relax and watch football.

It was cold in the bride’s room and I was definitely not feeling well, so they wrapped me in as many warm things as they could find and fed me wheat thins and water. They called me their little babushka. My MOH was writing down her notes for the speech she was to give at the reception.

FSIL and Giggles all bundled up to keep warm. It was so cold!

We peeked out the window into the sanctuary to spy on the arriving guests. I kept waiting and waiting to hear the organ music start so we would have an idea of when we needed to be in our places.

I looked out the window and saw my cousin walking down the aisle to light the candles. I couldn’t even hear the organ music but the ceremony was starting! Places everyone! It’s TIME!!!!
